Attica---Austin Leroy Fenters, 85, 102 W. New St., Attica, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday [Oct. 25, 1967] at the Alward Nursing Home where he had been a patient one day. A native of Warren County, he was born Oct. 12, 1882, the son of Enos & Elmira Leeper Fenters. His marriage in 1909 was to Made M. Oland. He was a member of the K of P Lodge in Attica and the Modern Woodmen of America. He was employed many years by the White City Laundry in Attica. He retired after 19 years employment at Harrison Steel. He was a life resident of Attica. He had been in declining health four years and serious the last few weeks. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. George Miller, Attica; two sons, Lowell [sic Noel] Dean Fenters, Attica, and Oran B. Fenters, Waynetown; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Final rites will be 2 p.m. Saturday [Oct. 28, 1967] at Roemer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Harry Randolph officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. at the chapel.
